Get ready for a festive afternoon as we kick off the season’s first Torsdagsbar at Bryghuspladsen at BLOX!

Known for his victory on “Stjerneklar” on DR1 in 2023, René’s performance is so spot-on, you’ll think Kim Larsen is on stage. Enjoy an entertaining show filled with all the beloved hits like “Papirsklip,” “Susan Himmelblå,” “Midt om Natten,” “Kvinde Min,” “Jutlandia,” and many more.
The concert will be performed in two sets, starting at 4:30 PM and concluding at 6:15 PM, with a short intermission.
In addition to the concert, test your knowledge of Danish architecture through the ages with the Danish Architecture Center. Visit DAC’s bike on the square and challenge your friends in the quiz for a chance to win a DAC club card, valid for a whole year.
Refreshments will be available for purchase at BLOX EATS café, and convenient parking is available in the garage beneath BLOX.
TORSDAGSBAR AND TALK BY AUTHOR LINEA MAJA ERNST AND JOURNALIST CHRISTOFFER EMIL BRUUN
Photo: Gammel Strand
📍 Gammel Strand, Thursday the 8th of August 4PM-7PM
Based on the current exhibition “In the Shadow of Burning Light” by Christina Quarles, which explores artists’ own investigations of identity, Gammel Strand invites you to a conversation between Linea Maja Ernst, author of the critically acclaimed “Kun til Navlen,” and Christoffer Emil Bruun, historian, journalist, and host on P1. The talk will revolve around the need for alternative worldviews and lifestyles in the context of the art scene, culture, and debate.
Join curator Sara Hatla’s introduction to the exhibition at 4:30 PM. Afterwards, we continue with an open conversation in the hall about the need for alternative ways of life and worldview, and how we maintain curiosity and openness even after the battle (possibly) is won.
