Rising above Copenhagen’s rooftops and the city’s other eateries, the Restaurant Tårnet breathes new life into the old chamber of the Danish Parliament. The kitchen is based on classic Danish cuisine with respect for the past and a sense of the future. Here you get solid smørrebrød with a seasonal accent for lunch and flavor-packed dinner prepared by experienced hands. The tower was built as part of the third and current Christiansborg Castle, which was built between 1907 and 1928. For the first few hundred years, the Tower was reserved for pigeons and flag raisers without a fear of heights. But since the Danish Parliament decided in 2014 to open the Tower for visual and gastronomic experiences, everyone has had the opportunity to take in the viewing platform at a height of 44 meters.
