Thorvaldsens Museum

The museum is a tribute to the Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen, who was an international superstar in 19th century Rome. Here he lived and created works of art for the royal families of Europe, the pope and Napoleon for almost forty years before returning to his native city of Copenhagen.
